Mr. Maez has over 30 years experience in Law Enforcement and Security Systems evaluations. Mr. Maez served for 21 years as a Special Agent of the United States Secret Service having retired in September of 2003 as the Special Agent in Charge of the San Antonio, Texas District.

In October of 2003, Mr. Maez founded Maez Security Consultants Inc., (MSC) in San Antonio, Texas, which provides security solutions in the form of Vulnerability Assessments, Security System Design and Integration, as well as Executive Protection for clients in the United States and Latin America. During the five years since incorporation, Maez Security Consultants Inc. has grown to include offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mexico City, Mexico and Guatemala City, Guatemala. MSC has provided consulting services for companies such as Fox News Network, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Tarrant Regional Water District, Bimbo Bakeries USA, Home Depot, Hunt Oil, and many more both in the Public and Private Sectors.

Mr. Maez’s professional career began as a police officer with the Albuquerque, New Mexico Police Department where he attained the rank of Sergeant prior to accepting an appointment as a Special Agent of the United States Secret Service. Mr. Maez served for approximately 21 years as a Secret Service Agent, five years of which were assigned to the White House protecting former presidents George H.W. Bush, William J. Clinton and their families. In September 2003 Mr. Maez retired from the position of Special Agent in Charge of the San Antonio District (which was also responsible for Secret Service issues in Mexico) and founded Maez Security Consultants Inc.

Dennis Maez’s formal education began at the University of Albuquerque while as a police officer he earned an Associates Degree in Police Science and a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice Studies. Also, while a police officer Mr. Maez attended the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico and earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration.

Mr. Maez currently resides in both Albuquerque, New Mexico and Dallas, Texas.

Ms. Kain is an invaluable member of the MSC team for both Maez Security Consultants, Inc., of Texas and Maez Security Consultants, LLC of New Mexico. Ms. Kain is currently the Executive Account Manager who began her employment with MSC in 2007, and is the liaison for all MSC Clients, Sub-Contractors, and Vendors.

Prior to joining MSC, Ms. Kain spent the majority of her working career in account administrative positions with financial institutions, and the last 20 years as a Third-Party Employee Benefits Account Manager for Taft-Hartley, Government and Corporate organizations of 500 or more employees.

Walter M. Farrer is Senior Security Consultant for Maez Security Consultants Inc. in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Mr. Farrer serves multinational corporations throughout the Latin American Region in security related issues such as risk assessments, training, executive protection, and corporate investigations, among others. Having worked for over 17 years in the security industry, Farrer has an extensive background in executive protection, corporate investigations and business management. Farrer worked for 3M Company as corporate security manager for Mexico. In this position, he was responsible for managing the areas of physical security, executive protection, emergency preparedness, crisis management and corporate investigations. He has been responsible for the briefing and training of foreign executives, their families and the people responsible for their protection in defensive driving and security concerns. In addition, Farrer has been in charge for the executive protection of high level executives, celebrities and other public figures, such as Lech Walesa, Salma Hayek, Julio Iglesias, Denzel Washington, Elizabeth Hurley, Edson Arce Do Nacimento (Pelé), and corporate CEO’s, to mention a few. Furthermore, Farrer has lectured internationally in many forums on security matters. Farrer has also made security presentations for business and professional groups in Mexico and in Latin America. Mr. Farrer is fluent in English and Spanish and studied Business Administration at the Universidad Anáhuac del Sur in Mexico City. He was certified by the Scotti School of Defensive Driving in Executive Protection (May 1997), and as a Police Driving Instructor (September 1997). He has been an active Member of the American Society for Industrial Security since 1997. Mr. Farrer resides in Mexico City, Mexico.

Mr. Gibson has been with Maez Security Consultants since 2008, and is responsible for conducting Vulnerability Assessments, security equipment technology specification analysis, developing security policies and procedures and providing additional consulting services. Mr. Gibson manages multiple large corporate accounts, both in the Public and Private Sectors.

Prior to joining Maez Security Consultants, Mr. Gibson’s area of expertise was in private and public sector labor management where he has also worked in political strategy and analysis.

Mr. Gibson was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps in 2003, having earned the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Gibson spent more than a year at sea and deployed with both the 31st and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Units. In 2002, he conducted operations out of the Joint Special Operations Command during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Mr. Gibson is recognized in the Security Consulting Industry as a subject matter expert in vulnerability and risk assessment, technical resource specification selection and conceptual system design. Mr. Gibson currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Ms. DiPirro provides a very unique skill set to Maez Security Consultants team in security assessment and security system design projects based on her 25 year career as a Special Agent of the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives. As an ATF Certified Explosives Specialist, Ms. DiPirro provides an expertise in identifying areas of vulnerability mostly commonly not addressed in security assessments. MS. DiPirro has extensive experience in conducting security assessments on government critical infrastructure projects while she was assigned as the ATF&E Special Agent representative assigned to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Joint Terrorist Task Force (JTTF) in Denver, Colorado. Ms. DiPirro is a recognized international instructor in the field of explosive related topics such as detection and disarming of explosives and explosive diagnostic capabilities. Ms. DiPirro has lectured at law enforcement agencies and Budapest, Romania and Botswana, Africa.

Mr. Ewing has over 40 combined years of experience in the areas of corporate security and law enforcement. Mr. Ewing began his career as a police officer with the City of Detroit Police Department for five years and 24 years as a Special Agent of the United States Secret Service. Mr. Ewing retired from the US Secret Service as the Agent in Charge of the Birmingham, Alabama Field Office. Upon his retirement he was hired as the Managing Director of Corporate Security for The Home Depot in Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Ewing was employed by The Home Depot for 12 years in the capacity of managing physical and technical security operations for The Home Depot operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico and vendor operations in India. Mr. Ewing has a vast amount of experience in the development and operations of technical security resources. Mr. Ewing participates as a MSC team member in security vulnerability assessments as well as security equipment specification development.
