Maez Security Consultants Inc. (MSC) has provided security consulting services for the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas since May of 2006. The Tarrant Regional Water District has constructed more than 150 miles of water pipelines, 27 miles of floodway levees, more than 40 miles of Trinity River Trails and a 260-acre wetland water reuse project aimed at increasing future water supplies for the area. TRWD is one of the largest raw water suppliers in the state of Texas, providing water to more than 1.7 million people in the North Central Texas area. Some of its wholesale customers include the cities of Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield and the Trinity River Authority. Operations span a 11-county area that reaches from Jack County to Freestone County, and includes maintaining dams at the Water District’s four reservoirs and the more than 150 miles of pipeline used for water transport. Over the course of four years MSC has conducted Vulnerability Assessment for each of TRWD’s major facilities to include damns, pump stations, pipelines and headquarters administrative and IT facilities in Ft. Worth. MSC was instrumental in the design and construction management of the new integrated access control and cctv security system that was installed at 30 major TRWD facilities beginning in 2007 and completed in early 2009. MSC continues in a very active role in conducting security studies and security system design planning for new water pipelines, pump stations and other facilities scheduled to come on line with TRWD in 2010 through 2012.

In 2009 MSC conducted a Vulnerability Assessment and designed an integrated security system for the Corsicana Middle School, Corsicana High School, and the Navarro College also in Corsicana, Texas. Designing security systems for an educational facility requires a delicate balance with respect to the utilization of CCTV and the expectations of students and school administrators regarding privacy issues. MSC has a proven sensitivity towards individual’s privacy without minimizing the effectiveness of the security systems we design.
